An illustration for a comic or tv show that doesn't exist. The idea behind it was that of a kung-fu fighting private detective (the dude with the afro) who solves mysteries in a stylishly surreal way, combined with high-octane action. He's joined by a highly skilled and agile Sumurai-sidekick, who makes up for his lack of brute strength with finesse and swift attacks. Along for the ride is the (mostly unwilling) P.I.'s sister who works as a police officer. She's equally skilled in the martial arts, but prefers to do things lwfully and 'by the book'. She only takes up arms when backed against a wall (quite literally!), but brings some respectability to the group as well as much needed tip-offs. I created this as a bit of fun when I had little to do at work. While painting it I became quite attached to the characters and might have a go at a graphic novel at some point (time to get thinking up some names for them!).
